Jeffrey T Dean: Technology Partner
Jeffrey has architected multiple multi-terabyte data warehouses for clients including: Goldman Sachs & Co., Epoch Partners and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Jeffrey’s area of expertise include: real-time investor behavioral modeling, investor demographics and price point discovery, and dynamic seismographic modeling and monitoring. He received his B.S. in Physics from University of California at San Diego, USA and his MBA from the Berkeley-Columbia University MBA Program in Berkeley, California and Manhattan, New York, USA
David Goldenberg: Legal Partner
David is the Founding Partner at Virtual Law Partners, LLP and the founder of Sens Furniture. Previously David was General Counsel at Mediabolic, Inc. and an Associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP for 7 years. While at Mediabolic, he oversaw over 75 separate licensing transactions with companies such as Intel, Motorola, Sony, Cisco/Linksys, Fujitsu, Phillips, HP, Broadcom and Marvell completing at least fifty venture capital financings of all types during his tenure (preferred stock, common stock, convertible debt, secured loan, up-round, down-round, bridge, warrants, and other types of financing), and multiple mergers at all size levels, from $6M to $1.9B, as well as licensing, strategic partner, and IPO transactions. David receiving his A.B. degree in 1993 from Stanford University, with honors (Phi Beta Kappa) and obtained his J.D. in 1996 from Stanford Law School. David helped found the Stanford Journal of Law - Business & Finance, which he chaired from 1995 to 1996. He has been part of the California Bar since 1996.
Michael Gurton: Competitive Intelligence Partner
Michael Gurton, MSW, was previously the founder of GIQ - a market research firm focusing on startup company competitive intelligence and market research services focusing on the CRM, enterprise software and supply chain managment industry. Michael is a graduate of the French Culinar Institute, Cornell University, and of Cornell University and Arizona State University USA
Weston Headley: Corporate Strategy Partner
Weston has spent the last decade on strategy work, with the last five years focused on assisting clients in the selection, structuring, and negotiation of strategic deals used to accelerate corporate goals. His background is in business, economics, technology and corporate law allowing Weston to focus on Fortune 500 companies, VC and PE funded projects in the high technology sectors: computer hardware, networking systems and advanced informatics systems for market & media research companies. His publicly visible work was with VNU in its strategic partnerships with Arbitron negotiating joint venture activities. Previously Weston worked with: Integral - a boutique strategy firm founded by Kim Clark, former dean of HBS and in association with Clay Christenson; at international law firms Latham & Watkins and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher; and with Stanford’s Law & Technology Policy Center and the Stanford Center for Economic Policy Research. Gregory N. Polletta: New Product Development Partner
Gregory has spent the last 14 years commercializing emerging technologies with corporations, R&D Labs, and Universities for firms such as Avero Inc, Xerox PARC, Bankers Trust Strategic Ventures / Certco, the American Management Systems Center for Advanced Technology, Columbia University, Pfizer, MIT, and the NSF . Gregory attended the University of Connecticut, Storrs where he received his Bachelors in Informatics and Operations Systems; Selwyn College at Cambridge University, England and Domus Academy in Milan, Italy where he received his Masters in Industrial Design with commendation.
